In the last 24 hours, meme coin creators on the pump.fun platform have earned $2.1 million in commissions. This significant increase in revenue is linked to the launch of the Project Ascend initiative, aimed at enhancing the ecosystem’s capabilities and increasing the platform’s attractiveness to developers.

Project Ascend: A New Dynamic Fee System
Project Ascend, launched by the pump.fun team on September 2, introduces a multi-tiered commission structure called Dynamic Fees V1. The main idea of this system is that the higher the project’s capitalization, the lower the commission for the creator. For example, with a capitalization of 420 SOL-1470 SOL (from $87,740 to $307,080), the commission is 0.95%, while for larger projects with a capitalization of 88,400 SOL-93,330 SOL ($18.4 million-$19.5 million), it is only 0.1%. Overall, since the new initiative began, creators have already received $3.26 million in commissions, with a sharp increase in the last 24 hours.
“Now, creating meme coins on pump.fun will be ten times more profitable, which means we will see exponential growth in the number of talents joining Pump Fun, from streamers to startups,” the project team stated.
New Opportunities for Creators and Ecosystem Expansion
The updated commission system applies to all projects hosted on pump.fun. The fees for the protocol and liquidity providers remain unchanged, while a fee is charged on each transaction involving a meme coin. At the same time, Project Ascend includes a number of other innovations designed to stimulate ecosystem growth and attract new creators to the platform.
One notable example of the new system’s effectiveness is the streamer known as Jytol, who noted that even newcomers are now earning more than on other popular streaming platforms. According to him, this opens new opportunities for small creators and allows them to start streaming with a small community while earning a respectable income.
“This allows ordinary people and small creators like me to enter this field, start streaming with a very small community, and earn in a month more than a Twitch or Kick streamer does in a year. They have opened the door to countless opportunities for new and existing creators, and I am happy to be a part of this.”
The streaming feature on pump.fun first appeared in November 2024. After a brief shutdown due to a wave of illegal content, it was restored. Currently, the platform is once again maintaining its leadership position in the meme coin launchpad sector, demonstrating growing popularity among developers and streamers.
