This figure is the highest since October 2022. Electricity supplies were made both during the day and at night, however, electricity imports continued during the morning and evening hours.

Among the leading electricity exporters were companies

“Energoatom,” DTEK, and “Ukrhydroenergo”

. Starting May 1 of this year, the capacity for electricity exports from Ukraine and Moldova to EU countries was increased from 550 to 650 MW. This will create additional opportunities for Ukraine to balance its energy system without generation restrictions and will serve as a tool for generating additional revenue.

Currently, Ukraine is trading electricity with all neighboring European countries, such as Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, and Moldova. Every spring, export volumes typically increase, while imports decrease due to weather conditions.

We remind you that the maximum capacity for electricity imports from the EU to Ukraine in December 2024 increased from 1.7 to 2.1 GW.
