Trends in the Ukrainian Labor Market in March 2025

In March 2025, the job portal Work.ua posted 98,992 vacancies, which is almost on par with February’s figures. The most significant growth in the number of vacancies was observed in Volyn (+7%), Vinnytsia (+6%), Chernivtsi (+5%), Kirovohrad, and Zakarpattia (both +3%) regions. At the same time, regions with the highest number of vacancies recorded a slight decrease.

Notably, the position of a serviceman has appeared on the list of the most in-demand professions, indicating the current needs of the labor market in the context of war.

The number of responses to vacancies increased by 3% compared to February, demonstrating candidates’ activity in job searching. Despite the slight increase in vacancies, competition in the labor market has somewhat decreased.

Traditionally, candidates show the greatest activity regarding remote work. As for offline vacancies, the highest competition was recorded in Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Kyiv regions.

In March, the average salary rose to ₴24,000 ($583), which is ₴500 more than in February. The highest salaries are offered for vacancies in the Defense Forces, in the IT sector, and for managerial positions.
