New Opportunities for the Private Sector and Investors

During the meeting, participants discussed expanding access to financing for the private sector. The main directions of the new investment strategy were agreed upon, which aims to stimulate interest from international and national investors in the Ukrainian economy. Active involvement of IFC’s expert support is planned for preparing complex investment transactions and analyzing promising projects.

“Ukraine is transitioning from preparation to the implementation of large-scale privatization and public-private partnership projects. We expect to launch the first PPP tenders as early as next year and rely on IFC’s expert support in preparing complex transactions,” noted the Ministry of Economy.

Pilot Projects and Concessions for Post-War Recovery

IFC confirmed its readiness to participate in project analysis, prepare major transactions, and attract global investors to Ukrainian initiatives. Among the specific areas of cooperation, the parties discussed pilot projects in the healthcare sector in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia. Special attention was also given to the new concession for the terminal at the port of Chornomorsk, which is capable of attracting around 200 million dollars in investments.

Additionally, the issue of attracting equity capital was discussed, which will become an important tool for the recovery of the country’s economy after the end of hostilities. Meeting participants are confident that the collaboration between government structures and international partners will create favorable conditions for the long-term development of Ukraine.
