Для ефективного відновлення та розвитку економіки Україна потребує підтримки ОЕСР за трьома стратегічними напрямками,

During the presentation of the economic review of Ukraine conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized the need for support from this organization for the effective recovery and development of Ukraine’s economy.

She noted that “Currently, Ukraine belongs to the seventh (highest) risk class. We would like to emphasize the necessity of reclassifying the risk group for Ukraine to the sixth class, which would make risk insurance more accessible for us.”

Key Areas of Support

Svyrydenko identified three strategic areas where Ukraine needs OECD assistance. The first is the development of a national industrial strategy. OECD expertise in industrial policy can be a key factor for change in the Ukrainian market.

The second area concerns the formation of an effective employment strategy in collaboration with the Ukraine Facility project, where the OECD can also provide its expertise.

Optimistic Prospects for Ukraine

The OECD recently presented an economic review of Ukraine, as well as a review on integrity and anti-corruption issues. The organization expressed confidence in Ukraine’s future and its prospects after returning to a just and lasting peace.

OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann emphasized that the OECD, together with Ukraine, must realize opportunities for further development of the country through reforms and the implementation of best international practices.
