Support for Czech Companies and Investments in Ukraine

Havlíček emphasized that the state could play a key role in this process, as it would ensure the flow of necessary products and investments into Ukraine. At the same time, these programs will help Czech businesses integrate more easily into new market conditions.

“Here, the state can play a crucial role. This is a concrete step that will help Ukraine, as it will receive the products and investments it needs,” he said, adding that this could also ease the entry of Czech companies into the Ukrainian market.

Renewal of Trade Relations and Prospects for Cooperation

The official noted that Ukraine has traditionally been among the top five most important trading partners of the Czech Republic among non-EU countries. Despite the fact that the volume of mutual trade decreased during the war, it is now showing positive dynamics again. The Czech Republic is interested in implementing joint projects, particularly in the fields of transport infrastructure, hospital construction, and other areas.

Karel Havlíček expressed confidence that the end of the war will open new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of machine engineering and energy, where Ukraine is a promising partner for Czech companies.

Additionally, the minister reported that special teams from the Czech Republic and Ukraine are already working on organizing joint economic meetings aimed at further developing cooperation.
