Swiss company Medlog SA, the logistics division of one of the largest container operators in the world, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), has officially entered the Ukrainian market. In May, the company acquired 50% of the shares of the Ukrainian intermodal logistics operator N’UNIT and 25% in the cross-border terminal “Mostyska”.

This deal marks the first involvement of a major international player in the logistics sector since the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion. The estimated value of the deal ranges from 15 to 30 million US dollars.

Features of N’UNIT and the “Mostyska” Terminal
N’UNIT is a Ukrainian logistics operator with four terminals located in cities such as Vyshneve near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and in Lviv region. The “Mostyska” terminal (“Mostyska Dry Port”) is a large-scale logistics project implemented by the company “Lemtrans” in collaboration with partners near the border with Poland. One of the key features of the terminal is the presence of railway tracks of two standards – European and post-Soviet, which ensures efficient cargo transshipment in cross-border connections.
