Ukraine and Norway to Launch Joint Drone Production in 2026

The Ukrainian Startup Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Brave1 initiative, and the State Emergency Service, has announced the launch of a grant program for developers of firefighting drone aviation complexes and ground robotic systems. Under this program, manufacturers of innovative solutions capable of extinguishing fires in hard-to-reach and hazardous areas can receive funding of up to 8 million hryvnias for a single project. Each participant is allowed to submit only one application per project, except in cases of re-funding after the development has been improved. During one budget year, up to five grants can be obtained for a total amount of up to 30 million hryvnias.

Ukraine and Norway Establish Joint Drone Production

The Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Norway have signed an agreement to launch joint production of Ukrainian drones. The opening of a pilot production line in Norway is scheduled for 2026, with further plans to expand the production capabilities of both countries.

Investments in Drone and Anti-Drone System Development

The German company Quantum Systems, which already has a factory in Ukraine and supplies drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has attracted 180 million euros in investments to increase production capacity and improve counter-drone systems. Thanks to this financial influx, the market value of the company has exceeded 3 billion euros.

Developers will be able to receive a grant of up to ₴8 million for creating innovative systems capable of extinguishing fires in the most dangerous and hard-to-reach places.
