Approved Projects Worth ₴4.5 Billion for the Reconstruction of Ukraine

As part of the third phase of the Ukraine recovery program, 130 projects with a total value of ₴4.5 billion have been approved. This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure.

Main Areas of the Projects

Among the approved projects, the following stand out:

  • Energy Resilience of Communities: 36 projects totaling ₴1.1 billion;
  • Modernization of Water Supply and Sewerage Infrastructure: 68 projects worth ₴2 billion;
  • Reconstruction of Medical Facilities: 21 projects for ₴1.1 billion;
  • Construction of Housing for Internally Displaced Persons: 5 projects totaling ₴300 million.

Implementation Timeline and International Support

The implementation period for the projects is 18 months, with facilities related to the energy resilience of communities required to be completed before the heating season begins in October.

In particular, in Rivne, work is underway on the thermal modernization of two lyceums, which is being carried out with financial support from the European Investment Bank. Additionally, Lithuania is providing over €4.6 million for the installation of solar power plants with energy storage in medical institutions in Ukraine. This effort aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, support the development of innovative renewable technologies, and enhance the country’s energy security.
