Polish WB Group Launches Serial Production of FlyEye Reconnaissance Drones in Ukraine

Польська WB Group запустила виробництво розвідувальних дронів в Україні.

The Polish defense company WB Group has announced the launch of serial production of FlyEye unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine. New production facilities have been established at a plant that has been servicing Polish systems to support the Ukrainian military for over a decade.

Specifications and Capabilities of the FlyEye Drone

The FlyEye drone is capable of performing tasks up to 50 km away from the control point, with a flight duration of two to three hours. To carry out reconnaissance functions, the drone is equipped with a modern optical station GS4, which has both daytime and thermal imaging channels. This allows for the detection and identification of targets at a distance of up to 7 km.

WB Group is known as one of the key suppliers of communication, control, and unmanned aerial systems for NATO countries.

International Cooperation in Drone Production

At the same time, France and Ukraine are in negotiations to launch joint production of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The French Ambassador to Ukraine, Gael Veyssiere, stated that the organization of joint production is planned both in France and Ukraine, which will provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a large number of high-quality drones. One of the leading French companies in drone manufacturing will participate in the implementation of this project.

“Paris and Kyiv are working on launching joint drone production for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which can be organized in both countries. According to him, the project will be implemented in collaboration with a very well-known French company, a leader in the manufacturing sector. It concerns the supply of a large number of high-quality drones.”
