Project Features and Investments
The total investment in the launch of the factory amounted to €40 million. The investor took advantage of benefits for participants in industrial parks, allowing for the import of modern equipment without paying VAT. The projected capacity of the new production reaches 3,000 tons of bioadhesive per month. The enterprise plans to process up to 1 million tons of peas annually.
“Adhesive is needed in the production of wooden eco-boards. The total investment in this project is €40 million,” shared the details by a deputy.
Currently, processing volumes significantly exceed last year’s pea harvest in Ukraine (465,000 tons). As a result, to meet production needs, part of the raw materials will have to be imported from Hungary and Poland until Ukrainian farmers increase the acreage for this crop. Consultations are underway with farmers from Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Dnipropetrovsk regions regarding expanding sowing areas and signing long-term contracts for pea supply.
Production of Eco-Boards and Export Plans
Monthly, the factory plans to produce 20,000 cubic meters of eco-boards, for which the new bioadhesive will be used. At the same time, the “Korosten MDF Plant” is constructing another similar facility in the Transcarpathian region in the BF Terminal industrial park. About 90% of the produced eco-boards are planned to be exported to foreign markets.
