International Signal and Financial Assistance

“Significant funding” for Ukraine could push Russia towards negotiations

According to Yvette Cooper, the transfer of frozen assets will serve as a clear signal to Russia and enhance financial support for Ukraine, which could act as an incentive to initiate the negotiation process. She highlighted the importance of coordinated actions among partner countries for the effective use of these resources.

Cooperation in the Field of Minerals

Meanwhile, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement to prepare a memorandum of cooperation between the British Geological Survey and the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine. The document will outline the main areas of joint research, exchange of geological data, and implementation of joint projects in geology and mining.

Among the priority tasks, the parties identified the updating of geological mapping in Ukraine. They plan to finalize the text of the memorandum, identify key projects for mapping, prepare joint training programs for Ukrainian geologists and specialists, and launch a coordination mechanism for the implementation of projects in the field of critical minerals and safe extraction.
