Innovative Features and Artificial Intelligence

The Pixel 10 smartphones offer a range of new tools for users. Among them is Magic Cue, which provides contextual suggestions directly in apps such as Gmail, Calendar, Messages, and other services. The suggestions have a distinctive rainbow frame and are available in the personalized Daily Hub digest in the Discover feed. At the time of launch, the feature recognizes and assists with actions such as paying bills, creating calendar events, or viewing travel forecasts. In the future, the functionality will be expanded.

Gemini Live has gained the ability for visual overlays: now the artificial intelligence can analyze images through the camera, highlight key objects on the screen, and provide suggestions to the user. The updated sound model recognizes emotional tones and adjusts the assistant’s responses accordingly.

Improvements for Photography, Translation, and Security

The Pixel 10 series boasts enhanced photography capabilities. Camera Coach helps users select the perfect framing and composition, while the Auto Best Take mode analyzes up to 150 shots to choose the best one. The Ask Photos tool allows users to edit photos using voice or text commands: changing lighting, cropping, or removing objects. The Pro models support Pro Res Zoom with magnification from 30x to 60x, which will be useful for photographing architecture, landscapes, and wildlife.

The Pixel 10 smartphones are the first to support the C2PA standard, which defines the origin of digital content and all changes made to it. This enhances the transparency and security of digital images and videos.

The Voice Translate feature provides real-time translation of phone calls while preserving the original voice of the speaker. Currently, it supports eleven languages, including English, Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian, and Indonesian. The list of supported languages will be expanded in the future.

A new feature called Take a Message has been added to the Phone app, which automatically transcribes and analyzes missed or declined calls, offering users action options based on the content of the voicemail. Additionally, Google has integrated AI into Pixel Journal — a counterpart to Apple Journal with analytics and recommendations based on the Gemini model. Furthermore, artificial intelligence has been implemented in the Gboard keyboard, Pixel Studio, and Notebook LM.

“The Pixel 10 series is the first to support the C2PA standard, which defines the origin of digital content and its editing.”

The updated Tensor G5 processor is optimized for handling AI workloads, while Gemini Nano ensures fast data processing directly on the device without a constant connection to the cloud. Over the past year, the use of voice modes with Gemini has increased fivefold compared to text modes, indicating a growing interest in natural interaction with gadgets.

Google positions the Pixel 10 as a significant step in the evolution of digital assistants, reviving the ideas of Google Now, integrated into modern applications and new algorithms. The company hopes that with these updates, its smartphones will be able to compete effectively with the iPhone 17, which is expected to launch next month.
