U.S. President Donald Trump expressed concern over Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s intentions to back out of an agreement regulating the extraction of minerals. Trump warned that such a decision could lead to «significant problems».

It is worth mentioning that last week, Zelensky claimed that Ukraine does not recognize the previously provided military aid from the U.S. as a loan.
Discussions Between the U.S. and Russia
At the same time, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kirill Dmitriev, reported that the U.S. and Russia have begun negotiations on joint projects for the extraction of rare earth metals. He noted that several American companies have already «expressed interest» in participating in such projects.
Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov clarified that Washington and Moscow have not yet signed any agreements on joint projects in this area, but confirmed that there is clear interest from American companies.
