Strike on the Russian Aviation Industry
In the city of Taganrog in the Rostov region, damage was reported at the aircraft repair plant “TANTK named after G.M. Beriev,” as well as at the drone manufacturing company “Molniya” – “Atlant Aero.” According to preliminary information, during the attack on the aircraft repair plant, the experimental aircraft A-60 was damaged. This is a rare flying laboratory for testing laser weapons, of which there are only two in Russia. The plant also engages in the repair and modernization of A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft and Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
“The A-60 was referred to as a flying laboratory for testing laser weapons; Russia had only two such aircraft.”
Damage to Fuel and Energy Complex Facilities
In addition to aviation enterprises, Ukrainian units struck the oil terminal “Sheskharis” in Novorossiysk and the “Tuapsinsky” oil refinery in the Krasnodar region. In Novorossiysk, devices for loading oil onto tankers, positions of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, and possibly a large landing ship of the Russian Federation were also hit.
These strikes demonstrate the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack critically important facilities for the Russian military and fuel and energy infrastructure at significant distances.
