Structure and Participants of Land Auctions
Most auctions—three out of four—concerned agricultural land. The organizers of the auctions included local communities, the state project “Land Bank,” private executors, and landowners. The “Land Bank” emerged as the leader in terms of revenue from the sale of agricultural land.
“As a result of nearly 1,000 conducted auctions, winners will annually pay almost ₴1.1 billion to the budgets of various levels.”
The highest price for a year of lease was recorded for a plot of nearly 4,000 hectares in Kirovohrad Oblast, owned by the “Land Bank”: the auction winner will pay over 65.5 million UAH annually.
Sale of Land for Other Purposes
Among lands not designated for agricultural use, the highest amount was raised by the Murovani community in Lviv Oblast. Here, 50 hectares of land designated for industry, transport, and energy were sold for 102.7 million UAH.
