The innovation and technology park “Crystal” has officially started operating in Vinnytsia, which will now serve as a space for the development of local businesses, startups, and creative industries. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is the first technopark in Ukraine created not by private initiative, but through the efforts of the city authorities, keeping the facility in community ownership.

A Platform for Business and Innovation
Based on the “Crystal” technopark, a modern innovation ecosystem is planned to be formed, uniting entrepreneurs, representatives of educational institutions, veterans, internally displaced persons, and international partners. The project aims to create new jobs, support relocated businesses, and stimulate the development of high-tech industries with high added value.

Reconstruction with International Support
Construction work on the reconstruction of the former “Crystal” factory began back in 2019, but was halted with the onset of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. The restoration of the reconstruction started in 2023 thanks to the support of international partners. In particular, over 1 million dollars in grant funds from Germany allowed for a large-scale reconstruction of part of the building, as well as the purchase of modern equipment for the establishment of two research centers.
The Vinnytsia City Council has already begun searching for additional financial resources to implement the second phase of the factory’s reconstruction, in order to expand the capabilities of the technology park and attract even more residents.
