The capitalization of Ukraine’s startup ecosystem has increased by 200% since 2020 and is currently estimated at $20.5 billion. This was reported by the project manager of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, Yana Hulak. According to her, over 90% of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises view the prospects for the development of Ukrainian startups positively. Additionally, 69% of surveyed market participants noted an improvement in the conditions for conducting their activities compared to previous years. Experts believe that this is largely facilitated by support from government institutions.

“In particular, our portfolio already includes more than 470 startups that have received government grant support totaling over ₴380 million. These span 20 completely different industries,” said Hulak.
Government Support and Acceleration Programs
In Ukraine, more than 50 acceleration and incubation programs for startups are actively operating. Their participants receive not only funding but also mentoring support, as well as assistance in entering international markets. This multifaceted support contributes to strengthening the positions of Ukrainian innovative companies on the global stage.
Priorities of the WINWIN 2030 Strategy
Yana Hulak emphasized that according to the WINWIN 2030 strategy, adopted by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the main areas of government support will be educational and medical technologies, dual-use products, and knowledge-intensive innovations. However, the primary focus is on the development of defense innovations, which is extremely relevant for Ukraine in the current conditions.
