Kraken, a well-known cryptocurrency exchange, and payment giant Mastercard have announced a new partnership that will introduce physical and digital debit cards for convenient cryptocurrency transactions.

According to the information, this collaboration will allow Kraken users in the UK and Europe to spend their cryptocurrencies at over 150 million merchant locations worldwide that accept Mastercard.
“The partnership is based on the rapid growth of Kraken Pay — a feature that enables instant international payments in over 300 cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. In the first 90 days, more than 200,000 users activated their Kraktags and made transfers as easily as sending an SMS,” the statement said.
David Ripley, co-CEO of Kraken, emphasized that cryptocurrencies are transforming the payments industry and expressed confidence that “everyday purchases and international trade will be supported by digital assets.”
Mastercard’s Vice President of Global Partnerships, Scott Abrahams, noted that both companies are working to make the crypto ecosystem convenient and secure for users.
Kraken customers can already sign up for the waiting list for the new crypto payment service. It is worth mentioning that earlier, the company Mercuryo also announced the launch of a cryptocurrency debit card in partnership with Mastercard.
