Investment Goals and Development Strategy
Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Telyupa reported that the state’s priority is to attract over $2 billion in investments and launch more than 20 new projects in this area over the next five years. Ukraine aims to transform from a raw material exporter into a powerful manufacturing platform for green & defense tech within the European Union.
“The goal is to attract over $2 billion in investments and launch more than 20 projects within five years. In the long term, Ukraine should not only become a raw material exporter but also a manufacturing base for green & defense tech as part of the EU,” he added.
Advantages and International Initiatives
According to Telyupa, Ukraine has competitive advantages in machine engineering, the critical materials sector, the IT sector, and renewable energy. To restore and modernize the industrial sector, the initiative “Industrial Ramstein” has been launched, modeled after the defense format. It aims to mobilize international assistance for industrial development, provide equipment as humanitarian aid, implement programs for partial financing of purchases, engage export credit agencies to minimize risks and reduce borrowing costs, as well as certify production in accordance with international standards.
