Ukrainian IT Export in 2025 Accounted for Nearly Half of All Services

In the first half of 2025, Ukraine exported services worth a total of $7.617 billion, which is 10.9% less than in the same period of the previous year. Despite the decline in overall exports, the IT sector is showing an increase in its share of the country’s export services.

Share of IT Services in Ukraine’s Exports Increased

According to the results of the first six months of 2025, the volume of IT service exports reached $3.276 billion, accounting for 43% of total service exports. In comparison, in the first half of 2024, this figure was 38.5% ($3.291 billion). The main contribution to this category comes from computer services. From January to June, the export of computer services amounted to $3.210 billion, which is 0.1% higher than the result for the same period last year.

Main Markets for the Ukrainian IT Sector

The key destinations for IT service exports from Ukraine remain Western countries. The largest revenues were recorded from the USA ($1.135 billion), despite a decrease of 6.41% compared to 2024. Significant volumes of services are also exported to the United Kingdom ($283 million, +0.65%), Malta ($281 million, +10.82%), Cyprus ($231 million, +31.09%), Israel ($133 million, -13.09%), Switzerland ($127 million, -7.4%), Germany ($118 million, -7.93%), and Estonia ($100 million, +23.79%).

Thus, despite the overall contraction of Ukrainian service exports, the IT sector continues to be a key driver of foreign currency inflows and strengthens its position in the international market.
