According to a survey by the platform “OLX Work“, Ukrainians are most often seeking jobs this year in the fields of trade and sales, transportation and logistics, the IT sector, as well as in manufacturing and engineering. These areas are considered the most promising for employment. “The main motivations for actively searching for new jobs are primarily low salaries, staff reductions, company closures, and changes in career direction. In particular, about 40% of respondents have completely or partially changed their field of activity in the last three years,” the study reports.

At the same time, according to the survey results, expectations regarding salary levels are quite high. The most acceptable salary range for Ukrainians is considered to be between 30,000 and 50,000 hryvnias (720–1,200 USD) – this was cited by 30% of respondents. For 29%, a salary in the range of 20,000–30,000 hryvnias is sufficient, while 25% aspire to earn over 50,000 hryvnias. Those willing to work for a salary in the range of 10,000–20,000 hryvnias make up 13%. Meanwhile, among employers’ offers, the median salary is around 22,500 hryvnias.
Active Job Seekers and Their Expectations
Currently, the most active job seekers are individuals aged 25 to 44. They seek to achieve a higher income level and change their fields of activity for better career opportunities. Predictions regarding salary levels in the future remain high, indicating a persistent interest in increasing incomes in the country.
