Project Implementation Stages and Its Significance for the Community

According to the signed memorandum of cooperation between the city of Dubno and Projex International Inc., the new plant will specialize in the processing of solid household waste with subsequent production of renewable energy. This is expected to significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, as well as provide additional revenue to the local budget in the form of tax payments. Currently, a team of experts is working on a detailed feasibility study to determine the optimal solutions for project implementation.

“Recently, representatives of Projex International Inc. (Canada) confirmed that they have officially begun the implementation phase of the joint innovative project.”

Situation with the Waste Recycling Plant in Lviv

At the same time, the implementation of a similar project in Lviv is facing difficulties. The municipal enterprise “Green City” has signed a contract with the British law firm Mayer Brown International LLC for the amount of 981 thousand hryvnias to resolve contentious issues with the Polish company Control Process S.A. The latter has repeatedly delayed the construction timelines of the waste recycling plant in Lviv, which was planned to be completed back in August 2023, but the deadlines have been postponed several times.
