The company ‘Agroinvest’ from the Ternopil region has become the first in Ukraine to take advantage of the state program for accessible loans for the construction of a modern vegetable storage facility. In the spring, the government made a decision allowing farmers to obtain loans under the ‘Affordable Loans 5-7-9%’ program for the construction of vegetable and potato storage facilities. Farmers can expect compensation for the interest rate on loans of up to 150 million hryvnias.

New Facility for Vegetable Storage
‘Agroinvest’ has already received permission to build a vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 7,000 tons. The implementation of the project will begin as soon as weather conditions are favorable. The total cost of construction exceeds 3 million dollars. This year, the company is growing a borscht set of vegetables on an area of 85 hectares, of which 65 hectares are equipped with an irrigation system. The main focus is on growing cabbage — 50 hectares have been allocated for this crop.
First Canning Factory with IFS Certification
At the same time, the enterprise ‘Shchedra Nyva’ from the Rivne region, which specializes in the production of canned goods, has become the first and only canning factory in Ukraine to receive the International Featured Standards (IFS) certification. Currently, only 40 Ukrainian companies hold such a certification. Compliance with IFS indicates adherence to the highest international standards for the quality and safety of food products.
