Inflation in Ukraine Falls Below 10% for the First Time in a Year

In November 2025, the consumer price index in Ukraine increased by 0.4% compared to October. Year-on-year, compared to November 2024, the price increase was 9.3%. This marks the first time in the past year that inflation in Ukraine has returned to a single-digit figure, indicating a gradual slowdown in price growth.

Consumer Price Dynamics and Key Changes

According to data released by the State Statistics Service, core inflation in November was 0.3%. Year-on-year, this figure also stands at 9.3%. Over the past six months, there has been a gradual decline in the rate of inflation, which is a positive signal for the country’s economy.

Among the main food products, eggs saw the highest price increase in November (by 12.6%), along with vegetables, fish products, oil, pasta, milk, butter, and bread. At the same time, there was a decrease in prices for fruits, pork, sugar, poultry meat, and rice. Clothing and footwear also became cheaper by 2.3%.

Dynamics of Lard Prices and Stability of Utility Tariffs

The trend of rising prices for one of the most popular products in Ukraine—lard—continues. Over the year, prices for it have increased by more than 26%. In October, the average price of a kilogram of lard rose by 6.6% compared to September, reaching ₴206.81. Compared to the same period last year, the product has become 26.2% more expensive. In December 2025, the cheapest varieties of lard are priced in stores at ₴150-200 per kilogram, while premium segments reach ₴600-700 per kilogram.

In the utilities sector, tariffs remained stable in November; however, a slight increase in waste collection fees was recorded.
