New Plant and Development Plans

As of today, the first phase of the project has been fully completed: production capacities for the manufacture of dry building mixtures have been established. In August 2025, Knauf produced its first batch of products at this plant. By November, the company plans to increase production volumes to 10,000 tons. In the future, the launch of the second phase is anticipated — the construction of a line for the production of drywall. For production, Knauf will use local raw materials, which will contribute to the development of the regional economy.

“We have agreed with the company’s management on further cooperation for the effective development of production and support for the social sphere by business in the region,” noted the head of Ternopil region after meeting with the Knauf team.

Knauf Strengthens Its Position in Ukraine

The new Ternopil plant will be Knauf’s second facility in Ukraine. The company’s first plant, located in Kyiv, is currently operating at full capacity. The Kyiv facility of Knauf produces about 25 million square meters of drywall and 200,000 tons of dry building mixtures annually. The launch of the new plant will allow the company to strengthen its market position and contribute to the economy and social development of the region.
