The active process of rebuilding the capital region continues in Ukraine following its de-occupation. The Cabinet of Ministers has made a decision to allocate ₴1.5 billion for the completion of 44 reconstruction projects that have already been initiated in the Kyiv region. Additionally, ₴36 million has been allocated from the “Fund for the Restoration of Destroyed Property and Infrastructure” to complete the reconstruction of the “Champion” stadium in Irpin as part of the United24 project. Furthermore, ₴25.1 million from previously allocated funds has been redistributed to finish the construction of eight apartment buildings in Irpin.
So far, with the financial support of UNITED24, 10 houses have been restored in the towns of Borodyanka, Irpin, and Hostomel. Kuleba also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Kyiv region and international partners. One example is the “Hansen Town” project in Tarasivka, where over 500 families are already living. However, despite the progress made, the needs for the reconstruction of the Kyiv region are still estimated at approximately $37.6 billion.
