Скільки українці заробляють у Польщі та що на них чекає?

The National Bank of Poland has released updated data regarding the employment of Ukrainian citizens residing in the country. According to statistics, over 90% of Ukrainians who moved to Poland before the full-scale invasion currently have jobs. The median net salary among Ukrainian workers in Poland approaches 4,500 zlotys (approximately 52,000 hryvnias or 1,228 US dollars). At the same time, this amount is still lower than the average monthly income of Polish citizens.

Changes in Employment and Unemployment Among Ukrainian Migrants

In 2023, 26% of Ukrainians who found refuge in Poland were employed under unstable contracts. However, by 2025, this figure decreased to 17%, indicating a gradual improvement in the labor market situation for refugees. This trend has been made possible by favorable economic conditions in Poland and the active integration of migrants into society. The share of unemployed refugees has decreased to 14%, while two years ago this level was 25%.

“Unemployment among refugees is still 300% higher than the corresponding rate among Poles, although the number of self-employed refugees is increasing.”

Starting in December 2025, new, significantly increased rates of administrative fees related to the processing of work permits for foreigners, including Ukrainian citizens, came into effect in Poland. This may impact the further integration of migrants and change the conditions for obtaining work in the country.
