Weapons Export: Economic and Political Potential

According to Mykhalko, opening up weapons exports for Ukraine holds not only economic but also significant political importance. She is convinced that decisions regarding each export contract should be made responsibly, taking into account the position of Ukrainian intelligence services and diplomatic challenges. At the same time, Mykhalko expressed confidence that exports will be opened if announced by the president.

“Exporting to the EU is the first and logical step. However, it is strategically important how Ukraine will reclaim the market of neutral countries from the Russian Federation. Because this will make us richer, and our enemy – if not poorer, at least deprive them of additional earning opportunities. That’s how it should work,” emphasized Mykhalko.

Market Opportunities: Neutral Countries and Dual-Use Technologies

Kateryna Mykhalko believes that neutral states can become promising directions for Ukrainian exports. She emphasized that even if it does not involve supplying modern military technologies, Ukraine can offer dual-use technologies or equipment that is already considered outdated but remains competitive in foreign markets.
