State Support for the Defense Industry

In October 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine granted weapon manufacturers the right to use technologies developed by the Ministry of Defense. At the same time, the developments themselves remain in state ownership. Finished products manufactured under these licenses are supplied to the Defense Forces through the state procurement mechanism.

International Cooperation with Canada

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans to significantly strengthen cooperation with Ukraine in the defense industry sector. According to him, the establishment of joint arms enterprises between Ukraine and Canada has already been agreed upon, and certain progress has been made in this direction. Carney also emphasized that Canada will provide the Ukrainian side with opportunities to expand its own weapon production, and joint efforts will only intensify in the future.
