GDP Growth and Macroeconomic Trends

According to the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS), in the first quarter of 2026, the country’s gross domestic product grew by 3.5% year-on-year. This figure exceeded the previous estimate of 3.4%. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, GDP increased by 0.6%, although earlier growth was 1.0%. As noted by the government, the main factor behind this dynamic development was strong domestic demand.

Poland’s Strategic Ambitions

Minister Domański emphasized that over the next ten years, Poland has the potential to enter the group of the top three leading economies in Europe. Currently, the country is among the six largest economies in the European Union and is an active participant in the G20, which brings together the twenty strongest economies in the world.

According to Andrzej Domański, in the next 10 years, Poland has a real chance of being in the group of the three most influential economies in Europe.

To implement these plans, the government is expanding the capabilities of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE), which has received a new format called “KUKE 2.0”. Thanks to this initiative, the Polish economy will be able to receive additional funding of 10 billion zlotys. The funds will be directed to support both small businesses and large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy, and security projects.

It is worth noting that Poland also remains one of the most attractive markets for foreign investors, particularly for Ukrainians, who are actively purchasing real estate in the country.
