“The program is designed to help veterans leverage their experience, leadership skills, and management competencies to create successful entrepreneurial projects”.
Participation Conditions and Program Benefits
The program is targeted at veterans who have returned to civilian life and wish to start a business or expand an existing one. Special conditions apply for participants: no fee for loan issuance and free account maintenance for the first year. Funding is provided within the framework of the bank’s existing credit products, but veterans receive additional benefits.
Wide Coverage and Development Prospects
The program is available to both individual entrepreneurs among veterans and companies fully founded by veterans. This allows for a wide range of businesses to be covered—from small family enterprises to companies planning scaling or launching new lines of activity.
PrivatBank emphasizes that entrepreneurship is one of the most effective ways for veterans to economically adapt after service. Owning a business contributes not only to personal employment but also to the creation of new jobs, the development of local communities, and the recovery of the Ukrainian economy. Supporting veteran entrepreneurship has been identified as one of the bank’s priority areas for long-term activity.
The financial institution also stated that the current program conditions are not final. Plans include launching new financial products, expanding preferential lending opportunities, and developing consulting services for veteran entrepreneurs. An ecosystem of support is effectively being formed to help veterans not only obtain start-up capital but also develop their businesses in the long term.
Additionally, “PrivatBank” is jointly implementing a new system for providing financial services to military personnel, veterans, and female veterans directly in medical institutions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Central Office of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
