Growth of Contracts and Involvement of Veterans
A key factor in this growth was not only the expansion of production capacities but also the increase in government orders. Throughout the year, the number of contracts signed increased by approximately 50%, indicating a significant strengthening of the country’s defense potential.
Veterans of the war make a substantial contribution to the development of the defense-industrial complex. “Ukroboronprom” actively employs former servicemen: in 2025, their number within the company increased by 37%. In total, over a thousand veterans are already working in the industry. At the same time, the concern is expanding cooperation with educational institutions to prepare new specialists for the defense industry.
Priority for the Development of the Defense Sector
The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that supporting and developing the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex remains one of the main state priorities. Ukrainian weapons are recognized as a key component in ensuring the country’s security.
It is noted that the sharp increase in production volumes was made possible by the expansion of production capacities and the growth of government orders. Throughout the year, the number of contracts signed increased by approximately 50%.
Separately, the Ministry of Defense reports that Ukrainian military forces receive over 1,500 interceptor drones daily, which enhances the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces and improves the effectiveness of the country’s protection.
