Leo Express launches the longest railway route between Przemyśl and Frankfurt

The Czech private operator Leo Express has announced the opening of a new international railway route starting June 25, connecting the Polish city of Przemyśl and the German Frankfurt am Main. The length of the new route exceeds 1300 kilometers, making it one of the longest direct services in Europe.

Convenient route through key cities in Europe

The train will pass through important transport hubs in Central Europe, including Kraków, Ostrava, Prague, Dresden, Leipzig, and Erfurt. The final stations are Frankfurt’s central station and Frankfurt Airport, allowing passengers to easily transfer to international flights and connect different modes of travel.

Schedule and ticket prices

Trains heading to Germany will depart from Przemyśl at 13:31, with arrival at Frankfurt Airport scheduled for 07:53 the next day. The return journey starts from Frankfurt at 08:27, arriving in Przemyśl at 02:23 the following day. The schedule has been specially coordinated with the timings of European and intercontinental flights, making this route convenient for travelers and transit passengers.

Ticket prices for the new train start from 10 euros, providing one of the most competitive prices among international rail services over such a long distance.

“The launch of the new route is expected to improve transport accessibility between Eastern and Western European countries and simplify travel for passengers heading to or from Ukraine,” said Leo Express CEO Peter Keller.

The company emphasizes that with the new service, passengers will be able to plan their journeys between Ukraine, Poland, and Germany more quickly and easily with transfers at key European destinations.
