Dynamics of Industrial Production Since the Beginning of the Year

According to the results from January to April 2026, there is a significant improvement in the industrial situation. If at the beginning of the year the decline was -8.1%, by the end of April this figure had reduced to -0.4%. This means that the negative trend has been almost completely overcome, and the sector is showing signs of stabilization.

Sectoral Structure: Leaders in Growth and Decline in Energy

The largest contribution to the growth of industrial production was made by mining enterprises, which increased their output by 4%. The manufacturing sector also showed positive dynamics, with an annual growth of 1.3%.

At the same time, the energy segment remains the most problematic. In the field of electricity, gas, and heat supply, a production decrease of 14% was recorded compared to April 2025, which negatively impacts the overall results of the industry.

“Despite the problems in the energy sector, statistics indicate a gradual revival of industrial activity and stabilization in key production sectors of the country”.

Despite the challenges in the energy sector, statistics show a gradual recovery of industrial activity and stabilization in major industries.

It should be noted that one of the main challenges for Ukrainian industrial enterprises remains the acute shortage of labor. This issue is so serious that electricity supply concerns sometimes take a back seat. Meanwhile, less than 5% of industrialists cite corruption or administrative pressure as significant obstacles to their operations.
